| 個人簡介 | Regional Professional Indemnity and Cyber Underwriting Manager, Asia Prior to ACE’s acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, Mr. Van Peenen was Regional Professional Indemnity Manager, Asia for ACE, a position he has held since 2015. Mr. Van Peenen has been in the insurance industry since the late eighties. Prior to joining ACE, he was Manager, Professional Lines, Asia, at Zurich Insurance’s Singapore branch with oversight of the Professional Liability portfolio for the region since 2010. Apart from growing a profitable Professional Indemnity business for the insurer, he was responsible for the development and successful launch of several products in Asia, including Security and Privacy Protection insurance, Manufacturers Errors & Omissions insurance as well as Single Project Professional Indemnity insurance. In addition, Mr. Van Peenen was involved in consolidating the insurer’s market position in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, as well as expanding its presence in China, Taiwan and Malaysia. During 2002 to 2010, Mr. Van Peenen was with Zurich Insurance’s branch in the Netherlands as the Senior Underwriter for its Professional Indemnity portfolio in the Netherlands and Belgium. He was involved in building the insurer’s success as the second largest Professional Indemnity business in Europe. Prior to that, Mr. Van Peenen worked in underwriting positions in Fortis Corporate Insurance (currently Amlin) during 1988-1993 and Marsh in the Netherlands during 1993-2002 for small and mid-sized accounts respectively for Liability and Miscellaneous insurance. Mr. Van Peenen received a Higher Education in Business Economics and a Bachelor of Business Economics from Hoger Economisch en Administratief Onderwijs (HEAO) – BE, Vlissingen in the Netherlands. In addition, he was named the ‘Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year’ in the international category at the 2015 Advisen Cyber Risk Awards. This award recognizes key players who, through dedication, foresight and leadership, have enhanced and developed the treatment of cyber risk. |
